ELP 3

After finishing the painting I am cutting out cardboard for the frame so the ends don't stick up. Once the ends are glued down with a glue gun then I will cut out small pieces so then I will cit slits in them, then I will put string in the slits and rap it up on both ends. Then the string will be tight and ready to hang up on the wall. But in order to do that I have to do it on my own time which will be tricky to do. I will probably go in on study hall today. After I came in at study hall I finished the project and will hang up the project.

This is the string and cardboard on the back for the frame so that I can hang it up.

This is the finale result after a while working on it. I have hung it up in the hallway by the cafeteria.

ELP 2

After 3 weeks on working on the project I have finished. After problems coming and solving them I have finished. It was hard to do with watercolor because the water would go into the shapes. So I tried to catch it early with a paper towel but sometimes that didn't work so it dried. Another problem that happened was that I couldn't tell some of the shapes so I used a sharpie and traced them. In conclusion I have finished the project after 3 weeks of hard work.

ELP

The beginning of my project is a sketch of my name made out of shapes, Wassily Kandinsky always used different shapes to make most of his artwork. He does different sizes and shapes.

So one of the problems I ran into was having the supplies. But then the next day I asked Mr. Ritter for the paper and he let me so now I have all the supplies! The second problem I ran into was the dark color of the watercolor. So then I put a lot of color in one spot so i put water on it to spread it out so this is how it looks now. So this is the 2 week mark, After 2 weeks this is how it looks now. I have the letters made out of shapes. So this is the background. My next plan is to color the shapes so then I will be almost finished. Then next I will touch up the background.

He worked in oils and watercolors

He worked in Russia and he also worked in France.

His most productive period was 1903-1940.

The most bizarre facts I found was he married his cousin for 10 years then diviored her. He was married Almost 3 times.

I chose him because the squares with concentric circles. He inspired me because he made art out of circles and it's one of his most famous paintings.
